OBSERVATION

Why do we sketch?

To pass time,

To analyze,

To remember,

To learn,

To understand.

To me, observing and sketching is a way to see the world differently.

When I sketch a scene, I look for the different and the unique elements of a place that set it apart.

Once you learn to see through art, you learn to appreciate the beauty in everything.

Being able to start conversations, share stories, and connect with strangers is one of my favorite aspects of sketching in public.
